Selfless Service Opportunity Spring Meeting of the Beverly White Outreach Project

The Beverly White Community Outreach Project is an all volunteer program offering a simple non-sectarian breath awareness practice or meditation in places where people are facing difficult life challenges. This project began about 15 years ago. Volunteers from all spiritual backgrounds are welcome. As volunteers, we are invited to be as skillful as possible in all we do, to not attach to outcomes, and to practice equanimity in all situations. This practice is especially valuable to spiritual practitioners who wish to deeply embody spiritual teachings in their everyday life. We are constantly shown the landscape of our mind and where we get stuck. We offer groups in 8 Minnesota prisons. In the community, we have several groups at centers for the elderly, and at a rehabilitation center for disabled young adults. We are always looking for new sites where we might share this practice.

If interested in volunteering, please contact Cal Appleby or Patrice Koelsch.
